156: We Are Called to Charity!

October 2, 2020

Charity is defined as “kindness and tolerance in judging others.” In this episode I talk for a bit about relationships and how it is common to be in relationship for what you can get out of that relationship. Our culture praises those who can see in a relationship what they can get out of it, think of the quintessential salesman/businessman. This is NOT to say that all salesmen/businessmen are only selfish in relationships but that it is a trait that is encouraged by the world. To see another person for the value they bring to you instead of what you can bring to the other.

Jesus modeled sacrificial relationships and he did not choose to only be in relationships with those who he agreed with, we are called to do likewise. I hope you enjoy this episode!
